Zawj & Zawja has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Protecting children is a fundamental responsibility, and we are committed to preventing, detecting, and reporting any such content or conduct on our platform.

1. An adults-only platform (18+)

Zawj & Zawja is a matrimonial service intended strictly for adults aged 18 and over who are seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic values. Minors are not permitted to create an account or use the service. Users must confirm they are at least 18 years old during registration and agree to our Terms & Conditions.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

We strictly prohibit, and take action against, any of the following:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of a minor.
• Grooming, enticement, or solicitation of a child for sexual purposes.
• Sextortion, trafficking, or endangerment of a child.
• Any attempt by an underage person to access the service, or by an adult to contact a minor.
• Sharing links or content that facilitate the above.

3. How we prevent and detect abuse

• Age confirmation at sign-up and profile verification for members.
• Photo moderation of uploaded images before they appear.
• Human review of reported profiles, messages, and images.
• In-app reporting and blocking available on every profile and conversation.
• Account removal and permanent bans for any violation.

4. How to report a concern

If you encounter content or behaviour that endangers a child, please report it immediately:

• In the app: use the Report button on any profile or message.
• Email our child-safety team: childsafety@zawjzawja.com (monitored; we aim to respond within 48 hours).
• Report CSAM directly to authorities: the NCMEC CyberTipline, Internet Watch Foundation, or your local police / the Uganda Police Force.

5. How we respond to reports

Reports are reviewed promptly by our moderation team. Confirmed violations result in immediate content removal and permanent account termination. Where CSAM is identified, we preserve the relevant evidence and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the appropriate local law-enforcement authorities, and cooperate with lawful investigations.

6. Legal compliance

We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate, and with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. We review these standards regularly and update them as needed.
